Raw Diva runs every Tuesday from 7.30-8.30pm and costs £6 per class (or FREE when you recommend a friend who's never been to Raw Diva before - scroll down to see other offers).
With Raw Diva there aren't any joining fees, you don't have to book in advance (due to Covid it's essential that you now pre-book to adhere to government guidelines to ensure we don't exceed numbers) and you don't need to have danced before. Just come along to classes as and when you like - no need to commit yourself to term dates. We're flexible like that.
Classes are run so that a new section of routine is taught every lesson. That way you can join any time, you don't need to attend every class and you wont feel left behind if you've missed a week - we get that women have busy lives; so just come along when you can!
Raw Diva is designed especially for us gals and it's suitable for anyone 14+ (nothing against the youngsters but some of the songs aren't always PG if you catch my drift). There's no upper age limit though, which many of us are thankful for...
The classes are all about enjoying yourself - having fun while keeping fit, gaining stamina, increasing muscle tone and more importantly learning great routines. So dust off those dancing shoes and get your twinkle toes ready to come and see what it's all about!
WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?
Facilities: The studio is large with floor to ceiling windows along one side, a sprung wooden floor and mirrors along the front of the studio. There are toilets on the ground floor and vending machines within the sports building where you can purchase water.
What to wear: You can wear anything you feel comfortable/sassy AF in, but be prepared to stretch and shake your tail feather. Trainers or comfortable shoes are a must!
Cost & Offers: Classes are £6 and are charged on a pay as you go basis. The first time you come to Raw Diva you'll be given a loyalty card; every time you come to a drop-in class just get the card signed and then your 10th class is FREE! Simple as that. As if that wasn't enough - if you bring a friend who's never been to Raw Diva then you get a free class for recommending them*. Result.
*Temporarily suspended due to Covid-19 & necessity to pre-book.
Terms and conditions:
Your loyalty card can't be used alongside the 'recommend a friend' offer.
You must make sure that you get your card signed on the night of your drop-in class to count towards your FREE class.
COMMERCIAL DANCE CLASSES | OXFORD
Founded in 2009, Raw Diva is an all female dance company providing commercial dance classes to women in Oxford. Commercial is a dance style often referred to as hip hop, street or urban dance - all encompass what Raw Diva is all about; empowering women (we're all about the Girl Power here!), embracing your femininity, building confidence and having fun while learning powerful, sassy moves to unleash your inner Diva!
SO WHAT HAPPENS IN CLASS?
Class always starts with a warm up; stretching the muscles and raising your heart rate so that you're ready to bust some serious (and not so serious) moves! After that, we do a quick cardio track or some body conditioning (depending on how energetic we're feeling!) - otherwise it's straight on to learning the routine and then practising it 8,364 times. Give or take.
MEET THE TEAM
We have an amazing team of caring and supportive instructors (even if we do say so ourselves!).
